We provide one on one driving lessons to help prepare you for your Restricted or Full Licence requirements or to simply enhance your driving knowledge and skills. This can include a pre-test drive prior to undertaking your formal driving test to ensure you go into your test well prepared and relaxed, including the use of the Awa Driver Training vehicle to complete your test.

Lessons can be booked for 1 hour or 2 hours and commence with an initial assessment of your individual abilities and tailored to suit, including beginner drivers. This is then concluded with a training or follow up plan targeting key areas for improvement and any further recommendations and/or advice. We provide a written Individual Progress Report so you can easily reflect on the lesson and continue working on any key areas.

Lessons can be conducted in our training vehicle fully equipped with an on-board security camera to ensure safety, however it is also recommended to use the vehicle you drive most often or that will be used to complete your formal testing if you’re preparing for this. Our training vehicles are 2022 Suzuki Swifts with automatic transmission. If you would like to learn to drive in a manual vehicle, you will need to provide the vehicle for these lessons. Parents, Caregivers or Support Person are welcome to join the lesson as an observer.

You must have completed at least one driving lesson with us within 2 weeks of your formal test date.
You must be at a competent level to safely operate our vehicle as assessed by our Instructor.
We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we have not assessed you as ‘test ready’.

We provide one on one tutoring to help prepare you for your Learner Licence testing, with the option of accompanying you to your formal licence test. Having us accompany you is great for those that may become anxious or nervous in test conditions.

The tutoring session will commence with benchmarking your current knowledge level and identifying any key areas of difficulty or focus, and conclude by re-assessing your progress.

These sessions use successful learning methods and tools to suit the individual’s learning style along with translating the road code theory test into simplistic, easy to understand, terms.

Selecting a one on one session will help gauge your readiness and increase your confidence before formal testing. These sessions have an extremely high success rate of passing the formal test following a targeted one on one session, particularly if the formal test is undertaken immediately after your tutoring session. We can accompany you to the test, assist with your paperwork, and if required, be your test reader.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations, no-show or requests to reschedule must be received with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Less than 24 hours notice, the full lesson booking fee is charged (or non-refundable when pre-paid).
