Are we a Competenz Registered Forklift Trainer?

Yes! Competenz certifies and registers Forklift Trainers nationally, monitoring on behalf of WorkSafe NZ to ensure safety standards are maintained by Trainers through an extensive assessing, monitoring and auditing process.

What is the Forklift Course?
Completing this course will ensure Operators are formally trained in a safe, efficient and legal manner.

This course is designed for trainees who have had some prior experience in operating forklifts.

What do you need?
To complete the WorkSafe NZ Health & Safety (OSH) requirements for the workplace and NZ Transport Agency, you must be minimum age of 15 years old.
If you’re wanting to complete the Forklift Operators Certificate with F-Endorsement, you need to hold a NZ Class 1 (Car) Full Licence.

What is ‘F-Endorsement’
This is required for any person required to drive a forklift on the road, where the public has access to.

How long is the course?
Pre-Course Requirements:
Once you register, we will send you any pre-course study materials (F-Endorsement, we recommend booking in advance to ensure you have enough time to complete the study materials before the course commences).

Course Duration and Unit Standard Covered

• 4-5 hours plus practical to complete the OSH Certificate Course
  - Unit Standard 10851, Operate a powered industrial lift truck fitted with forks (forklift)

• Full day to complete Forklift OSH Certificate with F-Endorsement
  - Unit Standard 10851, Operate a powered industrial lift truck fitted with forks (forklift)
  - Unit Standard 18496, Demonstrate knowledge and skills for driving a forklift on a road for endorsement F.

Cancellations 48 hours (2 full working days) or more notice, 100% fee refund | 24-48 hours notice, 50% fee refund | Less than 24 hours notice, no fee refund
To reschedule to another course or lesson date, a minimum of 48 hours (2 full working days) notice is required
